Some rings carry more than just a stone. The Lucy ring, one of Micheli's most loved and most-requested signature designs, began not with a brief. It began with a secret, a best friendship of two decades, and a groom who had the wisdom to ask someone who really knew.
The secret keeper
When Radel came to Micheli in 2021, he came with a mission and a very useful piece of inside information: his girlfriend's best friend, Anna, Micheli's in-house photographer, happened to know exactly what Lucy had always dreamed of.
Twenty years of friendship has a way of accumulating details like that.
Together with Marc, the three of them set to work. What emerged was a timeless trilogy setting: a centre oval diamond flanked by two pear-shaped side stones, finished with Micheli's signature sweeping shoulders and basket. Elegant. Considered. Completely Lucy.

Lucy said yes. They were married in August 2022.
The wedding bands
When it came time for the bands, Lucy and Radel returned to Micheli. This time to complete the set. Two rings, made to sit alongside the engagement ring they already loved, and to carry the date of one of the most important days of their lives.

A small detail worth noting: Lucy's band was carefully adjusted so the table height would drop just enough to sit perfectly flush with her engagement ring. That kind of considered finishing is the difference between jewellery that sits well, and jewellery that works as a set.
The ring that stayed
What Radel commissioned as a once-in-a-lifetime surprise has since taken on a life of its own. The Lucy ring is now one of Micheli's most requested signature styles. It's proof that when a design is made with that much love and intention, it tends to resonate far beyond the person it was made for.
It also serves as a quiet reminder of what bespoke really means. Not just a ring made to measure, but a ring made with knowledge. Knowledge of a person, of a friendship, of what someone has always wanted without ever having to say it aloud.
